The Twitter accounts of Elon Musk (Tesla), Bill Gates (Microsoft) and Apple were temporarily attacked by hackers. The intention was to spread a scam Bitcoins, through misleading publications on behalf of the famous personalities and company in the world of technology.
The message contains the following phrase “we are giving back to the community. We support Bitcoin and we believe you should too! All Bitcoin sent to this address will be returned twice as much. This offer only lasts 30 minutes.”
The fraudulent publication contains a harmful link where the user data will be collected and if there are users naive enough to send Bitcoins, they will probably never recover them.

More famous accounts were affected
However, Uber’s Twitter accounts, Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon and even artist Kanye West have been compromised. They all share the same message, hoping to attract users who fall for the scheme and enrich the hackers through cryptocurrencies.
Twitter is already aware of the situation and has quickly started to erase fraudulent publications. However, the same publications continue to “drip” and appear in the accounts mentioned.
However, as Bitcoin-associated transactions are public, hackers have already raised about $ 55 million in cryptocurrencies. It seems that unfortunately there are many users falling into the scheme.
