‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’ will have Mortal Kombat-style executions

Franchise director confirmed ‘X-ray murders’ on Twitter, but fans disapproved

A recent trailer for the game “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” has had repercussions among fans of the saga. The video shows a new mode of execution – violent and in the best “Mortal Kombat” style – with the right to blades piercing the skin and even splintering bones.

Through Twitter, the game’s director, Benoit Ritcher, confirmed the new battle mechanics, but clarified that the activation of the mode will be at the player’s discretion.

The fans of the saga, however, showed no excitement with the game’s new combat mechanics.

@skwoyel – “Please leave this as an optional mode so that we can disable it in the settings. It would be much better.”

@WanderPenguin – “Hm … No possibility to disable this, right?”

@GeneratorRexy – “I hope that means I can disable the mode, because I didn’t like it.”
