The plague advanced from the Argentine province of Formosa, where there is a lot of production of cassava, sugar cane and corn, until it reaches the province of Santa Fé. The cloud of grasshoppers goes to the provinces of Entre Ríos and Córdoba.  Because they eat all kinds of vegetation, locusts represent damage to plantations.
