Cologne (dpa) – According to a survey from the games industry, computer and video games have made it easier for many gamers to experience the corona pandemic.
As the Association of the German Games Industry (game) announced in Cologne on Tuesday, 28 percent of the players said that computer and video games had helped them to get through the pandemic better. According to this, 27 percent played more often with families and friends in the corona pandemic. 43 percent of those surveyed believed that games could help to get through such crises better.
The association published the survey it had commissioned by the YouGov institute before the start of the computer and video game fair Gamescom in the coming week (August 27 to 30). Their main theme is “Playing into the future”. This is to emphasize the positive impact that games have on society.
