‘On The Run’ is being developed by the creators of Candy Crush for Android and iOS
In addition to a new game for consoles, Crash Bandicoot will also win a game for mobile phones. Activision announced Crash Bandicoot: On The Run, made by the creators of Candy Crush, for Android and iPhone.
The game will be free in the “endless runner” style: the player controls a character that goes through a series of obstacles and tries to get as far as possible. The trailer shows that the game will still have weapon creation mechanics, and the possibility of shooting projectiles towards enemies.
In addition to controlling Crash Bandicoot, the game will allow the creation of characters, and also have a multiplayer mode to play with friends.
There is still no release forecast for the game, but interested Android users can now register with the Google Play Store to receive a notice when the game is available.
Quite popular in the mid-90s with games for the first PlayStation, the Crash Bandicoot series spent a lot of time being left behind until it returned with everything in recent years.
The character’s resurgence came in 2017, when Activision released a remake with the first three titles in the series, called Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
The success was so great that, in 2019, another very popular title in the franchise was relaunched: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, the kart game that was the equivalent of Nintendo’s Mario Kart on the first PlayStation.
Continuing the good moment, Activision bets on a new game of the franchise: Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time arrives on October 2, 2020 for PS4 and Xbox One.
