The test version 9.6 of the Google keyboard has already been released, and with it comes a feature that many will thank. This is because it will be possible to see the keyboard theme changed automatically, adapting it to the system.
The option will be given, according to 9to5Google, using quick settings. Users could already choose between white or dark themes, but this option takes things further.
Using the “System auto” option, your keyboard theme will be able to adapt to the same level as the system. If you are the type of user who prefers to have a clear theme during the day, you will have the keyboard automatically clear. And if you use the dark theme at night, your keyboard will adapt automatically.
In the images above, we see what this change between themes will look like. In addition, it is worth mentioning that Google is also testing the change to its font, “Google Sans”, on its keyboard. It is a subtle change, but one that you will certainly approve.
Another interesting detail in this new version is that a shortcut to Google Lens is being tested. However, only when stable versions arrive will we be able to tell if this change has been effectively implemented.
If you want to always have the latest keyboard news from Google, you can join the Beta program. However, you should be aware that this is a trial version, and you may experience recurring errors.
