Who uses Google Maps through the Android Auto app on your smartphone, would certainly like greater simplicity in its interface. That’s what the latest Maps update brings (v.10.45).
As soon as you turn on Android Auto on your smartphone and have this version, you will have access to a much simpler design. The icons are different, the bars do not occupy the entire screen and the green of the top bar is darker.
As you can see between the old design (top) and the new design (bottom), the corners have also been rounded. These changes are mainly observed in the landscape mode, since you start to take more advantage of the information.
Instead of having an upper and lower bar taking up all the space, the information moves to the left. Thus the map effectively gains the relief it deserves.
This is a navigation experience that is much closer to Android Auto available for your car. However, the interface is still not that simple.
You must bear in mind that this is an update controlled by Google Maps itself. This means that it will only be available once you have the latest version.
