‘Halo Infinite’ will have free multiplayer and 120 fps support

An online store in Ireland aired its page on the Xbox Series X ahead of time, and ended up delivering details of the game “Halo Infinite”. The information was on the air for a while longer, thanks to Google’s cache, and it counts that the game’s multiplayer mode will be free and with 120 fps support.

“The legendary Halo series returns with the most comprehensive Master Chief campaign yet and is an innovative free multiplayer experience to play,” said the publication on the Smyths Toys Superstores website. “Enjoy up to 120 fps and very short load times, which bring you perfect gameplay with the Xbox Series X.”

User Klobrille on Twitter, a notorious Xbox leaker, confirmed the information and completed by claiming that the “Halo Infinite” multiplayer will include a battle pass system and new customization options.

Last week, the official Halo series channel posted an eight-minute gameplay video of the next game in the franchise on YouTube, with images running at 60fps. The atmosphere of the game is similar to that of “Halo: Combat Evolved”, and includes the presence of Banados and the Warthog vehicle. In addition, it is possible to notice new mechanics of the game, such as “Drop Wall”, a quick shield to avoid enemy attack, and “Grappleshot”, a new way of clinging to edges, but which also affects combat.

There are several weapon options in the game, including an assault rifle and a plasma pistol. “This new equipment, along with a number of new weapons, opens up more freedom and flexibility for players to showcase their own playing styles,” explained 343 Industries, developer of the game. The company also pointed out that the new additions will also be present in multiplayer, and that new details about the mode will be “soon”.

“This demonstration shows just a small section of the open and expansive world that we created to provide a pivotal experience”, concluded the company. Halo Infinite is due to be released at the end of the year for Xbox One, computer and Xbox Series X.
