After two years without betting on a successor to TalkBand B5 (launched in 2018), Huawei is now preparing to launch a new smartband for its TalkBand family. Although it does not present itself exactly with the same characteristics as the Xiaomi Mi Band 5, it may end up conquering many of its fans thanks to its unique feature.
It is true that they never managed to reach the popularity levels of the Xiaomi smartband, but there is no doubt that TalkBand has an important selling point, the integration of a headset. Now, new images from China reveal the design of the new Huawei TalkBand B6.
As you can see in the images, everything indicates that this model will finally eliminate one of the big problems of the previous models, its thickness. From what we can see in the picture, the Huawei TalkBand B6 looks considerably slimmer than its predecessors, making it much more discreet.
What to expect from Huawei TalkBand B6
The information revealed so far presents us with a curved 1.53 “inch AMOLED screen with a non-reflective protective glass. Controlling the center of operations will be the Kirin A1 processor that arrives with support for Bluetooth 5.2.
Among its various features, you will be able to find a heart rate sensor, calorie estimation, step count, remote control of the smartphone camera and a personal guide for various sports. Regarding its construction, a metal construction is expected, which will certainly give it a more premium than the Xiaomi Mi Band 5.
Obviously the highlight is the integration of a bluetooth headset that can be used easily by removing the smartband from the bracelet. Equipped with several microphones, it promises high definition voice calls. It is also with good eyes that we see the implementation of support for USB-C instead of the outdated microUSB.
Rumors point to a possible presentation already in August, which is expected to be launched in two models – Sports Edition and Business Edition.
