“High quality” lenses are being prepared for the rear cameras of the iPhone 12. These have already been ordered from supplier Largan, according to the renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
This Apple manufacturing partner starts shipping the lenses of the upcoming iPhone 12 in mid-July. The novelty is revealed by the analyst, in a note published this Friday.
From what is mentioned in this publication, the production of the lenses will have been delayed by four to six weeks. And although this is not mentioned, the pandemic situation must be the reason for this delay.
Large lens shipments are expected to be shipped to Apple between September and November. But in previous years, this shipment will have occurred between August and October.
IPhone 12 launch may be delayed by Apple
It is good to remember that the new iPhone is in the habit of being launched in September. However, the situation experienced globally may change plans for Apple, and Apple may have to postpone its launch until October.
The iPhone 11 arrived with one of the best lenses on the market, raising the bar in its line. The expectation is, therefore, great for what Apple has prepared for the next models.
