MacBook Pro with 5 screens? Apple already has an idea of how it will be

At a time when we see other portable computer manufacturers launching very bold models, Apple is often criticized for being more conservative in the steps it takes regarding the design of the MacBook Pro. But that may change in the not too distant future.

A patent approved on June 30 at the China National Intellectual Property Office shows us something truly innovative. This suggests a “dynamic screen interface” that results in five panels in total.

In this patent we see the main screen and the touch bar disappears. Instead, the remaining four screens appear to work similarly to this, but are closer to the user’s hands.

It is good to remember that Asus has already launched the ZenBook Pro Duo, with a screen below the keyboard. But with something like this, Apple would take this ‘game’ to another level of versatility.

You must bear in mind that this is a patent that has just been approved. Although it gives us an idea of what a MacBook Pro with five screens might look like, it does not mean that the product will become a reality (at least in the near future).

For a manufacturer that in recent years has been accused of not innovating, this would be something really interesting to see in practice. To what extent it would be usable and durable, we will only find out if / when it becomes reality.
