Microsoft executive shows foldable Surface Duo in real use

Last year, Microsoft presented the device that will mark its return to the smartphone market, with a foldable one, the Surface Duo. And its product director, Panos Panay, again gives us a glimpse of the equipment.

The executive again shared a photo of his Surface Duo unit on Twitter. And this time the aspect of the equipment turned out to be slightly different from what was previously shared.

As you can see from the image, the equipment’s margins are more rounded in relation to what Microsoft has already revealed to us before. This is believed to be the result of being protected by a cover.

In case you don’t remember, the Surface Duo is a device made of glass and aluminum. And like any folding device, its protection is something to take into account.

In May the alleged specifications of the equipment were revealed. These included the Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM and between 64GB and 256GB of storage. The terminal will have two 5.6-inch AMOLED screens and a 3400mAh battery.

In case you didn’t know, one of the big news is the fact that the Surface Duo hits the market with Android. The Microsoft Launcher is being prepared, which promises to insert Microsoft customizations.

The release date is not yet official. The equipment is expected to arrive this year, but the pandemic situation may have changed plans for Microsoft.
