Thanks to the famous leaker Evan Blass, images of the upcoming Moto Razr 5G were shared. This will be the foldable smartphone from Motorola (Lenovo) with a shell-folded screen, paying homage to the original Razr design, with keys.
In 2019, Motorola launched the Moto Razr, showing that the brand still manages to be relevant and remain current in the trends of the smartphone market. In relation to the previous version, the most notable differences in the future Razr 5G are the reduced lower bar and the less pronounced notch.
Regarding the location of the biometric sensor, there are some doubts. It is possible that Motorola will implement some type of facial detection or decide to relocate the unlock sensor. Evan Blass refers to this equipment as the Motorola RAZR 2020, indicating that it may come out this year.
After all, Samsung’s Unpacked event in August will showcase two new foldables: Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 (also known as Galaxy Z Fold 2) and Galaxy Flip Z 5G. Therefore, if Motorola does not want to be outdone, it should present it this year too, although later.
Expected Moto Razr 5G specifications
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor
- 8 GB of RAM
- 256 Gb of internal storage
- 2845 mAh battery
- 48 MP main camera
- 20 MP front camera
In terms of technical specifications, the Moto Razr 5G will not blow users away. Its major point of interest is obviously the folding screen. It remains to be seen how Motorola will take advantage of this format in the updated version.
