The Oppo Find X2 Pro is one of the most powerful (and expensive) smartphones of the moment. But when it comes to its front camera, you won’t have one of the best experiences on the market.
It is DxOMark’s tests that say, which reveal an overall score of 72 points. The equipment reached 79 points in the video, and only 67 points in the photo with this sensor.
It would be expected that its 32MP front camera with an aperture of f / 2.4 would be more than enough for 2020 standards. But DxOMark says that its front camera is at the level of equipment such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the Huawei P20 Pro.
Limited dynamic range, little detail and poor stabilization are problems with the front camera
In photography you can expect a limited dynamic range, many visible artifacts, little detail and yellowish colors. In the video, in addition to these problems, you will also have an ineffective stabilization.
With regard to positive points, the wide field of view of focus, the quality bokeh photographs, and the good exposure on the faces are praised. In the video, there is also a good white balance.
You will not have the worst experience with this equipment when it comes to front cameras. However, if that is one of the parameters that you really value, there is no lack of better options for less than € 1199, which is the price of this smartphone.
