New format will be available in the Tetris app for tablets and phones; game show promises to distribute more than a million dollars in prizes annually
Many people’s dreams have come true: making money playing Tetris! J thought? If you are another fan of the game, certainly yes. So, the good news is that N3TWORK, the company responsible for Tetris, announced on Thursday (9) that the game, starting today, gains a live game show feature in the version for mobile devices (Android and iOS). That’s right, now, with Tetris Primetime, players will participate in an evening competition that promises to distribute more than a million dollars in prizes every year – in cash.
From now on, every night, actor Millen Baird will present the Primetime Tetris. For now, the game show will only be available in Auckland, New Zealand, Berlin, London, Moscow, New York and Perth, Australia. There is still no date for the live game with a cash prize to be taken to other regions, but the game’s developer says this will certainly happen.
Tetris fans for tablets and phones have also just won the Tetris Royale mode, in which players face off against 100 players. The N3TWORK Tetris app has also added a marathon mode to be played offline, and a new “together” mode, in which players can invite friends to join the game and even talk by voice while playing.
