With the diminishing influence of Huawei in the European market, Xiaomi is one of the brands that has benefited the most from this. However, a major new competitor for Chinese technology has just arrived on the old continent.
Vivo today announced its official entry into Europe. For now, there will only be six countries where the Chinese brand will be present. A list that, unfortunately, does not include Portugal.
It is important to inform that Vivo is the second most important brand in China, just behind Huawei. According to the latest data from Counterpoint Research, Vivo has 16% of the Chinese market, while Xiaomi has 10%, occupying the fourth position.
Vivo officially reaches six European countries
Vivo will be cautious about entering one of the largest markets in the world. To test the market, Chinese technology will officially enter Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom.
Even if Portugal is not on this list, it will now be much simpler to acquire a Vivo smartphone. It certainly won’t be too complicated to import equipment from the Spanish brand to our country, for example.

The rest of the models are mid-range and entry-level devices for users who do not put too much strain on their smartphone. The prices for the four devices are not yet known for all markets, nor when they will be available for purchase.
