In case you didn’t know, Huami is Xiaomi’s partner brand when it comes to producing Mi Band 5 and other wearables from the Amazfit line. But the latest certification reveals that it may be about to launch an alternative to the Mi Band 5.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 was introduced in June in China, and has a global launch scheduled for this month of July. But after being certified by the FCC, it is now known that Amazfit Band 5 is also on its way.
The novelty was picked up by the Gadgets & Wearables website, and reveals an image of the smartband box. This also reveals some of its main specifications.
As you can see from the image above, this one will have an AMOLED panel, 5ATM water resistance (up to 50 meters), continuous cardiac monitoring and various sport modes.
It is also mentioned in the specifications that it will have “GPS connected”. This does not mean that it will arrive with a built-in GPS module, but that you can make that connection using your smartphone.
The smart bracelet will feature a 125mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.0 and connectivity from Android 5.0 or iOS 10.0. In the coming days we should know more details about this one that promises to be a rival of Mi Band 5.
