Xiaomi continues to diversify the product portfolio of its satellite brand Redmi, now with EarBuds 2C and SonicBass. There are two new Bluetooth headsets with low price, splash and sweat proof IPX4 certification, among other novelties.
The announcement was made by Xiaomi, which is already selling both audio gadgets on the Indian Mi Store, as well as other major retail outlets in India. The biggest highlight of both is the price / quality ratio and mobility.
Xiaomi’s new SonicBass and Redmi Earbuds 2C
The 2C EarBuds are inexpensive, compact Bluetooth headsets that last up to 12 hours with the charging / transport box. They can be controlled with touches on the side and are compatible with several voice assistants.
They are compatible with Android and iOS devices and charging is done via micro-USB cable. They also stand out for their Bluetooth 5.0 connection, which allows pairing with various devices and the individual use of each headset.
Each headset weighs 4.1 grams and can be used for music, or calls, quickly switching between stereo and mono, ideal for those who want to use them as a hands-free kit for calls.
Redmi SonicBass have 12 hours of autonomy
Xiaomi also made known the Redmi SonicBass, Bluetooth headsets more oriented towards sport. They feature physical buttons for controlling multimedia playback and also have splash and sweat resistance – IPX4 certified.
Their design makes them ideal for exercising, being placed around the neck. They stand out for the battery with up to 12 hours of autonomy, drivers 9.2 mm, in addition to the microphones for canceling ambient noise also on calls.
SonicBass are available in black and blue, with physical controls present in the right ear segment. The brand also highlighted its performance in calls, with good control of background noise.
Pricing and availability
The Redmi EarBuds 2C and Redmi SonicBass are now available in India for the price equivalent to 20 dollars and 18 dollars, respectively, with launch discounts. They can be purchased at the Indian branches of Mi Store and Amazon.
Xiaomi has in Portugal the Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic S with essentially the same characteristics and design. Anyway, so far there is no forecast for its arrival in the global markets.
