Content still reigns as the king in the world of online marketing. Web copywriters, and internet marketing gurus, constantly remind us that content is the most important factor for optimisation. And then they go on to tell you that link building is next on the list. Writing web copy that sells is hard. Writing web optimisation copy that converts into sales or leads is even harder.

These are not identified by search engines as spam keywords. When producing an initial draft, I would definitely include some of the keywords. Yet the primary focus is on information structure and readability.

We should begrudge no SEO organization for not understanding the importance of clutter. And we should be happy when they succeed, as we helped make them successful.

Clutter is important in spotting the text within the clutter.

Those who are successful – the ones who achieve publicized success – have usually been clutter free. Which tells me that my complaints about the addition of the word ‘clutter’ to a search engine probably apply even if I do not understand it.
